These are end grain or 'butcher block style' cutting boards. They're made of big leaf maple which has a distinct color that will deepen over time becoming a rich reddish brown. The wood is ethically sourced, and the natural wax finish is a homemade combination of beeswax and certified organic hemp seed oil. Great care goes into shaping and hand polishing each one. The best quality rubber feet are secured to the bottom with stainless screws. Each peace is unique. With a little kind maintenance, they'll last many decades.
